The binder’s components vary depending on the rolling mill’s unique requirements. We also provide composite roll rings that combine steel and cemented carbide. These composite rings open up a wide range of applications in contrast to the relatively brittle cemented carbide rings. These roll rings can be shrunk on the shaft with no space between the shaft and the ring, increasing the rigidity of the system and the stiffness of the roll shaft. Keyways can be machined into the faces or inner diameter of these roll rings to transmit greater torques. These rings are used in stretch-reducing tube mills, intermediate stands, and blocks with a 3-ring layout.
